The Accounts Receivable (A/R) system in GnuCash allows businesses to manage and track money owed to your business by customers for goods or services purchased on credit. You can also generate Cash Invoices for immediate payment of goods and services.

GnuCash’s integrated Accounts Receivable (AR) system is surprisingly robust for a free tool, and it’s built to support small businesses and nonprofits. You generally do not work directly with the Accounts Receivable account, you work with the four integrated GnuCash A/R application components: Customers, Invoices, Jobs and Process Payment.
This module guides learners through the practical setup and day-to-day use of GnuCash’s Accounts Receivable (AR) system. From creating Cash Invoices to creating Accounts Receivable invoices for customers that pay on credit to tracking payments and generating customer reports.
