Module 8 – Tracking Payroll In GnuCash
This module introduces essential tools and workflows for managing payroll within GnuCash, tailored to freelancers, nonprofits, and small business owners.
GnuCash doesn’t include a built-in payroll system, but it can track employee payments and deductions, but you must calculate taxes and deductions externally (e.g., in a spreadsheet) then enter the totals in GnuCash.
Learners will explore how to accurately enter payroll transactions I GnuCash using split accounting. You will learn how to streamline data entry with Quick Fill, and track employee-related expenses and payments with voucher-based bookkeeping.
